  1. My wife Jerry and our son David join me in wishing Bill\’s family our sincerest condolences in Bill\’s passing. Bill was an outstanding person in so many ways, on so many all levels. I knew him as a leader of local industry where he was known, not only by his colleagues but also by the local media (of which I was a member) as a man of honesty and integrity as well as a model of the work ethic. My family knew him and his wonderful wife Gloria from our long membership at Trinity Episcopal Church where Bill also was a leader. He showed not only how smart he was in dealing with pressing issues of the parish but how kind and caring he was to all parishioners and the broader Danville community . We will always cherish those qualities and will always remember his wisdom, wit and that grand smile that could and did light up every room he was in.
