Willard (Will) F Morris passed away on February 6, 2025. He was born on June 14,
1933 in Bimble, KY (Knox County), the son of Luther and Edna Morris. Upon
graduation from high school in Barbourville, KY, Will served in the US Air Force in the
Military Police, with stations in French Morrocco and Germany. After completing his 4
years of military service, Will attended Union College, continuing at Eastern Kentucky
University, graduating with a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in
accounting. It is at Eastern Kentucky University, that Will met his future wife, Ann.
Will’s first accounting job took him and his newly-wed wife, Ann, to CA. Future career
moves led them to AK, OH and OR, retiring in KY.
Will is pre-deceased by his wife, Ann Rogers Morris, and daughter, Susan Morris. He is
survived by a daughter, Robyn Morris of Belvedere, IL. He also leaves behind many
friends, especially the many local restaurant owners and servers where he dined.
Will enjoyed camping and travel in his younger days and liked to work in the yard. He
was a wood worker with many projects adorning his home. Will enjoyed conversation
with friends and neighbors, and telling (and retelling) a good joke. He often won bets on
estimating his age, due to his youthful appearance. When asked how he was doing,
Will’s standard reply was “peachy dandy”. He was a wonderful neighbor and friend to all.
He will be missed.
Services will be private, with interment in Barbourville KY.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Willard was my cousin and since he lived away so much I didn’t get to see him until recent years when I went to visit him several times with my sister and brother in law. I loved his jokes, his stories, his common sense on so many things, and most of all his laugh. I’m glad I was able to see him and get to know him better. My heartfelt sympathies to Robyn and his family and friends.

    • Thank you for your lovely words Terry.

Dad was always telling me about visits with you the last few years.I know there are many happy memories.

  2. My husband and I knew him as Will. We met Will and his wife Anne when he came to California to work. He worked with my husband and we became friends. We took them sight seeing to places in Southern California and we played cards at our houses. They joined our church and became friends with many younger couples there. After they moved away for his job we stopped at their home in Oregon to visit. Over the years we kept contact by telephone. He was the same Will whenever we talked or laughed at his stories over the years. He will be missed.

  3. I’m really enjoying the design and layout of your site. It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more pleasant for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a developer to create your theme? Exceptional work!

  4. Will and Ann were incredibly supportive of my family during the time we knew each other in Eugene. We met through church then became next door neighbors. Will built the shelf that holds my cookbooks and helped with other major projects over the years. They were “kindred spirits.” Always kind, thoughtful, generous and alight with a gentle, gracious humor: I remember Will with great appreciation.

  5. Hello there, I found your web site by way of Google at the same time as looking for a related matter, your site got here up, it appears to be like good. I’ve bookmarked it in my google bookmarks.

  6. I have had the pleasure of house cleaning for Will for the past 3 years. He was such a joy to conversate with. I will miss hearing all of his stories.

  7. Will was a dear friend and neighbor in Danville. He helped me through a difficult health challenge several years ago, for which I will always be grateful. I will miss your bright, funny and positive personality Will. You will be missed!
