Walter Junior Gilpin
January 21, 1970 ~ March 26, 2026
Walter Junior Gilpin, 56, died on March 26, 2026. He was born in Danville on January 21, 1970, to Elizabeth Roach West and the late Walter Jackson Gilpin. Walter attended Danville Church of God. He was very active with the Garrard County 4-H where he was a camp counselor for 20 years. In addition to his father, Walter was predeceased by his wife, Carol Gilpin and a sister, Cynthia Sue Gilpin.
Walter is survived by his mother and his brothers, Simon (Stephanie) Gilpin, Mike (Mona) Gilpin, and Chris Gilpin, companion, Dana Padgett, his nieces and nephews who he thought of as grandchildren, Parker Miller, Charlie Dunaway, Benny Dunaway, Wrenley Miller, Simon Engell, and Colton Engell, and two special nieces, Tabbitha Engell and Toni Miller.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Parksville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Gilpin, Simon Gilpin, Justin Engell, Daniel Miller, Wesley Abshire, and Joe Shanks.
