Jason Tyler Trachsel, 53, of Danville, died surrounded by family on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at home. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, on March 10, 1972, he was the son of Bonnie Goodpaster Trachsel and the late James D. Trachsel.
Tyler will be remembered for his brilliant smile and the love he had for his family and treasured friends. Tyler’s son reflected that, “Dad’s presence brought such a beautiful energy to every room and to every person he encountered.”
Tyler is survived by his mother, Bonnie Trachsel, his son James Tyler Trachsel, Beth Robertson, his brother Ryan Trachsel, his nephew Breck Trachsel, his aunts Robin Goodpaster Whitehouse and Louisa Ross Jackson, and several cousins. Tyler’s joyful spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends at noon, Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.
The graveside service will be 1 P.M., Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Bellevue Cemetery with Rev. Joseph Pusateri officiating.
Memorial donations are suggested to Heritage Hospice.
