Tim "Hop" Cummins

Tim “Hop” Cummins, aged 67, died on March 31, 2026. He was born on April 6, 1958, in Danville to the late Tom & Maude Cummins. Hop was a pillar of strength and a beacon to all who knew him. He lived his life with a big heart, always ready to lend a helping hand and share his remarkable spirit with family and friends. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Harold “Buddy” Cummins, James “Jimbo” Cummins, Leah Miller, Brenda Carroll, Dewey Cummins, Frank Cummins, Johnny Cummins, Mike Cummins, Cecil Cummins and Bradley Cummins.

Hop was known for his passion for playing pool. He appreciated the simple pleasures of life, especially the time spent with his family, friends, and his adored grandson, Mason.

Hop is survived by his wife Emily Cummins, his son Jacob Scott Cummins, his grandson Mason Scott Cummins, his sister Gayle (Hank) Potts and his brother Ricky (Patricia) Cummins, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will gather to honor Hop’s life at a later date.
