Theodore (Teddy) Walker, age 87, passed away on February 17, 2024. He was the son of James T. and Lucille Bodner Walker. Teddy was a loyal and devoted husband to Joyce, his wife of 65 years, and lived in the White Oak Road area of Junction City his entire life. Teddy was a member of Mt. Freeman Baptist Church since 1948, holding various positions, and was a deacon since 1964. He served in the US Army in Korea in the late 1950s.

Teddy lived his life to serve the Lord and to help others. In his last days, he said he tried to help at least one person every day. He took great pride in his woodworking and spent many hours in his basement making things for friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Joyce; two sisters, Jane Gale Hacker and Wanda (Jackie) Young; a sister-in-law Anita Stewart; one daughter Nanette (Lloyd) Stith and one son Richard (Karen) Walker; four grandchildren, Mason (Lily) Walker, Erin (Ryan) Toombs, Abby (Charles) Gossom, and Kyle Stith; four great grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

The funeral service will be at 1pm on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City.  Rev. Curtis Brock will officiate.  Burial will be private at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.  The online guestbook is available at www.stithcares.com.

  1. I remember going to your house when I was little and older. Every time we was down from OH we used to stop by. You are now in a better place and singing with those who went before you Granny, my Mom and my Dad, going to miss you and I have a lot of memoires.
