Roger Dale Cox, 71, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and a love for life. He was born on October 14, 1953, in Junction City to the late Earl and Hester Naylor Cox, Sr. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Darrell Cox.

Roger was known for his passion for the outdoors and the thrill of racing. A devoted NASCAR fan, watching most every weekend, cheering for his favorite drivers. He enjoyed dirt track racing and was an avid UK fan. He started driving a school bus for Boyle County Schools at 19 years old and loved it. He also worked at Penn Ventilator in Junction City.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Adams Cox, his daughter Lourenda Lark, bonus children Michael (Debbie) Adams, Mark (Angie) Adams, Aaron Adams and Amanda Adams, his grandchildren Nicholas Lark and Kathryn Lark, great-grandson Henry Lark, his siblings Earl Cox, Jr., Lisa Cox, and Anna (C.W.) Gay, and a special niece, Bridget Cox.

Visitation will be held at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City on May 22, 2025, at 12 p.m. EST (11 a.m. Central time) prior to the service. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. EST (12 p.m. Central time), Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Lark, Kathryn Lark, Aaron Adams, Michael Adams, Jerry Finley, and J. E. Routen, and honorary pallbearers will be Bill McCowan and Steve Martin. Roger will be laid to rest at Danville Memorial Gardens.

In this time of sorrow, we remember Roger for the joy he brought into our lives and the love he shared with his family. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
