Roberta Ann Griffin Hiller, 82, of Lexington, died Thursday, March 4, 2021. Born in Danville on February 13, 1939, she is the daughter of the late, Frank G. and Charlotte Hainesworth Griffin. She attended First Baptist Church as a child and Northeast Christian Church in Lexington. Known by family as Bert, she preferred to be called Ann later in life. Ann’s most valued treasure was her family. She grew up in a large family and, even though her Mother died when she was young, they were taught that family was most important. Family gatherings were always her best moments. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son, Robert Dale Whitehouse, a grandson, Bryan Keith Whitehouse, her brothers, Frank Griffin, Robert Lee Griffin, James Griffin and Thomas Griffin and her sisters, Lillian Janet Griffin, Rose Marie Wright, Betty Jane Cahill and Martha Griffin. She is survived by her husband, Robert Jennings Hiller and her children, Diana Whitehouse (Kenneth) Carey of Lexington, William Donald (Julie) Whitehouse JR. of Smithfield, Ky., David Wayne Whitehouse of Danville and Terry Dean Whitehouse of Lexington; a step-daughter, Darby Hiller McElderry, MD; her grandchildren, Amanda Brooke Whitehouse (Phil) Montgomery, William Donald (Megan) Whitehouse III, Michael Brandon Whitehouse, Asha Nichole Whitehouse, David Shane Whitehouse, Brittany Paige Whitehouse, Melissa Carey (Cody) David, Joshua Lee (Elizabeth) Carey, Christopher Brent Carey, Bradley Scott (Kayla) Whitehouse, Zachary Dean Whitehouse, Nicholas Drew Whitehouse, Macey Dawn Whitehouse, Meghan Delaney Whitehouse, Hugh McElderry and Lydia McElderry; her great-grandchildren, Julia Paige, Sarah Elizabeth and Samantha June Montgomery, Emma Katherine, Madelyn Rose, William Carter and Eliza Jane Whitehouse, Ava Elizabeth Whitehouse, Cierra Cheyenne, Trayce Summer, Philip Gavin, Gunner Briar, Evan Blake and Cali Jayden Whitehouse, Grayson Eugene Whitehouse, Braylan Konner, Jansen Tatum Kash, Rylan Trucker, Jayden Brooke and Asher Todd Whitehouse, Aubrey Lane, Griffin Jett and Porter Knox David, Oliver Lee and Evelyn Jane Carey, Bryanna Adelyn-Mae Whitehouse, Avery Grace, Amelia Faith and Anson Kai Whitehouse and a great-great grandchild, Jaxtyn Whitehouse. She is also survived by her sisters, Nancy Gail Griffin, Barbara Lynn (Fox) Spoonamore, Mary Lewis (Jim)Lester, Goldie (Richard) Sanders and Jacqueline “Deedee” Pollard. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the First Baptist Church, 1570 N. Danville Bypass. Rev. Tim Mathis will officiate. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Billy, Brandon, Bradley, Zachery, Nicholas, and Shane Whitehouse, and Josh, and Chris Carey. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made in Anne Hiller’s name to Safe Kids Fayette County, a nonprofit organization working to help families and communities keep kids safe from injuries, at 1117 S. Limestone St., Lexington, KY 40536. Visitation will be Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday 11 a.m. – 1 pm. prior to the service at First Baptist Church.   1. To all of Roberta\’s family, I\’m so sad to learn of Roberta\’s going home to Jesus, sad for us and for the loss of her presence. I wish I could be there with you to share this time of grief. I know how much you will miss her and the way she touched all of your lives (and mine). She was my sister too. It was my privilege to know and love Roberta for at least 58 years.
