Neree H. Wood of Forest Acres, SC, passed away on Jan 8, 2024, at the age of 95. Born in Alexandria, KY, she married R. Wickliffe Wood, whom she met while earning a degree at the University of Kentucky. During their lifetime together they traveled and moved frequently--living in 10 different states. After retirement, Neree and Wick spent a year working at Baptist Village, a Christian retreat center in Israel, before serving as camp directors at Tampa Bay Baptist Conference Center. According to Neree, one of her greatest accomplishments was raising four respectable children. She was predeceased by her husband, and her oldest son, Robert Wood. She is survived by three children, Richard Wood, Kathleen N. Listman, and Jeanette Wood Guinn, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
There will be a memorial service at Kilbourne Park Baptist Church at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan 29, 2024.
A graveside service was held at Bellvue Cemetery, Danville, Kentucky on Jan 12, 2024
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jews for Jesus or Baptist Faith Missions.

I will always miss you.
My wife and I lived in the same condo complex as Neree for about 8 years during her time in South Carolina. We enjoyed visiting with her and she was a cordial neighbor. She served on the condo homeowners association for quite a few years and contributed much to its operations. She was also active in her church and proud to serve her community.
