Nancy Jo Childress Marshall, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the community, peacefully departed this world on January 25, 2024. She was 87 years old. Nancy was born on October 31, 1936, to the late Paul Vincent and Nancy Pamplin Childress, Sr. in Roanoke, Virginia. A graduate with honors from Pulaski High School in Virginia, Nancy also attended James Madison University. Nancy’s true vocation and source of pride was her role as a homemaker. She lovingly cared for her home and family, creating an environment filled with love, laughter, and joy. Nancy found solace and strength in her faith as a member of the First Baptist Church. She lived her life as a shining example of love, kindness, and compassion. She is preceded in death by her husband Phillip E. Marshall, Sr., and her son Rusty Marshall. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved son, Todd (Betsy) Marshall, and her adored grandchildren, Chase (Jalisa) Marshall, Courtney (Tyler) Rickard, Hannah Marshall, and Isaac Marshall. Nancy\'s unconditional love and unwavering support will forever live on in their hearts. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home, Danville with Rev. Tim Mathis officiating. Nancy Lee Benadom Marshall,79, passed on December 4, 2021, in Danville. Born December 26, 1941, in Seattle Washington to the late Donald Richard and Bernice Evelyn Benadom. Nancy attended the Southland Christian Church. She loved to spend time with her family and watch western movies. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Donald Edward Marshall. Nancy is survived by her daughter Cherryl Kirilenko (Dave) Ison; a son Mike (Carol Webb) Marshall; two sisters Judy Toon and Patricia Miller; six grandchildren Michael Kirilenko, Christina Kirilenko, Ryan Marshall, Bret Marshall, Bryce Marshall, and Alyssa Marshall; two step-grandchildren Blake Ison and Cameron Ison; and a great granddaughter Sophia Gabriella Snyder. Arrangements are pending at this time.
