Michael William Mingey
May 26, 1998 ~ March 3, 2026
Michael William Mingey, 27, went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2026. Born on May 26, 1998, Michael was a resident of Boyle County, Kentucky, where he graduated from high school in 2017.
Michael never met a stranger. He possessed a true servant’s heart and a steadfast love for his community. As a devoted volunteer for the Great American Brass Band Festival and the local Barbecue Festival, he joyfully gave his time and energy, always ready to lend a helping hand. Michael cared deeply for his hometown of Danville and remained actively engaged in local affairs, striving to serve others with compassion, integrity, and humility.
Above all, Michael cherished his family. He leaves behind his loving parents, William “Bill” and Lucinda Mingey, whose lives were forever blessed by his presence. He is also survived by his siblings, Seth William (Brianne) Mingey, DeAnne Grace (James) Berry, and Nichole Grace (Elijah) Bower and his niece, Amory Mingey. As a devoted son, brother and uncle, Michael’s kindness, laughter, and generous spirit were a constant source of light. Though his family will miss him beyond measure, they rest in the blessed hope of being reunited again through Christ.
A visitation will be held from 3–7 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Indian Hills Christian Church and 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Indian Hills Christian Church, with Rev. Mike Crowe officiating.
Pallbearers will be Seth Mingey, James Berry, Elijah Bower, and close friends who faithfully walked alongside Michael throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the future Turning Point USA chapter at BCHS and the Great American Brass Band Festival, reflecting Michael’s enduring love for his community and his joyful spirit of service.
Michael William Mingey will be remembered for his servant’s heart and the joy he brought into the lives of so many. Though he is dearly missed, we hold fast to the promise that this is not goodbye, but “until we meet again.”

Mingey- You were loved by so many. Our town will never be the same. While I am heartbroken, I know you are rejoicing with our Lord and Savior. You truly have the best seat up there. Watch over us all.
I lost my son in a car accident also, it will be 20 years on March 19 – the reason I am telling you this is to let you know that you can contact me if you ever want to talk to someone outside your circle who has been there (you can find me on Facebook).
You definitely have my very deepest condolences and I will be praying for you.

I first met you at the American Brass Band Festival a few years ago. I was set up in the food vendor area. You kept stopping by..checking to see if I needed anything. That wasn’t just your job but your nature. I will always look fondly upon our friendship!
You will be missed by many Mingey! RIP!
