Lucilla “Lu” Polston Lynn, 64, of Danville, died on October 11, 2025. She was born on August 18, 1961, in Turnersville, Kentucky, to the late Alfred and Evelyn Polston. Lu was a beloved sister and friend who will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Rita Jean Polston, Charles Gary Polston, Joyce Ann Lynn, and her husband, Paul Norman Lynn.

Lu loved fishing, gardening, and taking care of her animals. Lu will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the love she shared with those around her.

Lu is survived by her siblings Nita Henson, Sandy Griffin, Dale (Anne) Polston, Jackie Lynn, Pam Miller, and Larry Polston, her partner Harold Henderson and his daughter Anna Villarreal, and several nieces and nephews.

A family service will be held at a later date.

  1. Sorry to hear of Lucilla’s death. I remember her from McKinney Elementary school. She was always kind to me and I will always cherish that. God Bless Dale and the rest of the family.

  4. Lu was always worried about everyone else when they were sick .Never worried about herself .she wasn’t a self-centered person . The time I knew her was short we became friends and told each other everything.she will be missed by all friends and family .Fly high lu.so sorry Rita ,Dale and all other family and friends for the loss,, 😔 love you lu
