Loretta Ann White

loretta white

Loretta Ann White, 56, of Junction City, died peacefully on June 14, 2025. She was born on December 21, 1968, to Joyce McElroy and the late Billy Ray Fair in Danville. Named after the legendary country singer Loretta Lynn, she carried a spirit as vibrant and warm as the music that inspired her. Loretta’s infectious smile and kind-hearted nature meant she truly never met a stranger, creating bonds with everyone who had the privilege of crossing her path. She was preceded in death by her husband, Giles “Junebug” White, and a grandbaby.

Loretta adored her family, who were the center of her world. She cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was celebrating holidays or enjoying quiet summer days together. She had a special love for her dogs, who were her constant companions and sources of joy. An avid traveler, Loretta delighted in exploring new places, especially during the summer months, when adventures awaited her at every turn.

Loretta is survived by her loving family, her daughter Jessica White, her mother Joyce (Kenneth) McElroy, and her sister Brenda (Barry) Cooley, who will remember her for her unwavering warmth, generosity, and the light she brought into their lives.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City, with Rev. Jr. Fields officiating. Visitation will be 4 -6 p.m., Monday, June 23, 2025, also at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Pallbearers will be Steven Cooley, Donovan Cooley, Barry Cooley, Brenda Cooley, Jessica White, and Anthony Pittman. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and family. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens.

As we bid farewell to Loretta, let us carry her spirit forward, celebrating the joy she brought into our lives and the memories that will forever linger in our hearts.
