Linda Sargent

Linda Dian Simpson Sargent, 69, died Thursday, June 6, 2019. She was born in Fayette County on December 7, 1949 to the late Luther Virgil and Dolly Demple Southerland Simpson. Linda enjoyed gardening and planting. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Louis Erbin Sargent and a son, Leonard Cordell Hines. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Michelle (Ronnie) Maddox, Gravel Switch and a son, David Wayne Pike, Danville; a sister, Debbie Young, Danville; four grandchildren, Alan Wayne Boyd (Sarina Plumley) Pamela Gail (Dallas) Gribbins, Christopher (Isabelle) Manning and Jonathan (Bethany Hundley) Maddox; seven great grandchildren, Railee, Austin, Jase, Creed, Olivia, Weston and Sophie. The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Rev. Barry Harmon will officiate. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alan Boyd, Chris Manning, Jon Maddox, Steve Crews, Mike Fair and Paul Orberson. Visitation will be after 5 p.m., Monday at Stith Funeral Home, Danville.
