Elbert B. \"Junior\" Cox, Jr., 53, died, Monday, November 5, 2018.  He was born in Danville on November 8, 1964 to Nannie Mae Johnson Cox and the late Elbert B. Cox, Sr.  Junior worked as a Mixing Operator for Corning, and for 28 years at Phillips Lighting. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Danville.  Junior loved traveling, NASCAR, football and going to the beach.  He was an avid LSU fan and also enjoyed watching the Reds and Cowboys. In addition to his mother, Nannie Mae Cox; he is survived by his wife, of 27 years, Judy Leonard Cox; two daughters, Haley Elizabeth Cox and Shelby Lynne Cox all of Junction City. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, November 9, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church in Danville.  Rev. Brent Rowe and Rev. Ernest Martin will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Robbie Brussell, BJ Brussell, T.Y. Fisher, Buss Belcher, Scott Lester, Tony Hall, John Fowler and Tony Rolph.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Barry Spoonamore, Dr. Nicola Jabbour, Barry Burger, Barry Moser, Andy Baker, Pat Adams, Guy Jones, Allen Belcher, Harold Jeffries and Donnie Pennington.  Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery.   Visitation will be after 3 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church.  Memorial donations are suggested to Friars Hope @ Commonwealth Cancer Center.
