Joseph Lynn Galloway, 58, died Saturday, November 25, 2017. Born in Rapid City, South Dakota, on June 24, 1959, he was the son of the late Jerry Lynn and Brenda Sue Durham Galloway. Joey was a graduate of Boyle County High School and served in the United States Army until 1981. Joey attended Salt River Baptist Church as a child. He loved his family, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Joey was an artist and enjoyed drawing and painting.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Parker Galloway; a son, Justin Parker; a daughter, Denise (Larry) Burguess; a brother, Scott (Missy) Galloway; a sister, Mysti (Russell Gene) Chaney; three grandchildren, Jonathon Burguess, Danielle B. (Michael) Gale, Dustin Parker; two great-grandchildren, Kelsey Gale and Lauren Gale and an aunt, Patty Galloway Carpenter
The funeral service will be held at 1pm, Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. Jonathon Grizzell will officiate. Interment will be at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Parker, Paul Johnson, Larry Burguess, Jonathan Burguess, Scott Galloway, Jeff Johnson, Matthew Chaney, Lee Dunn and Robbie Chaney. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom McMannis, Roger Durham, Steve Lyons and Greg Huser. Visitation will be after 5pm, Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City.
