Memories Timeline

Guestbook

    • John was one of my first clients when I arrived in Danville. He quickly became a close friend, who just happened to also be a client. It was his constant positive demeanor that I’ll never forget. He always had a smile on his face whenever he came into my office. He always referred to me as “kiddo” which I absolutely loved. I’m 60 years old now, but I’ll always be a “kiddo” to John. I have also been blessed to have an incredible friendship with his son, John. John Jr definitely takes after his dad… always a smile on his face. He’s my brother from another mother, lol. To Nannie, Randy, John Jr, and all the family…. You are truly blessed to have had such a beautiful soul in your lives. And to John Sr, you were such a blessing in my life. I’ll never forget you. Rest peacefully.

  1. I’ll love you always cousin. So many sweet and funny memories will always include you . There was never a time you weren’t there for our family. Prayers and love go out to Nannie-John-Randy and all of the family and friends. I love you all ,Debi

  2. John was a terrific friend and absolutely epic role model.. His work ethic was unparalleled..
    He had style and grace..
He created an incredibly awesome family..
    He was warm and generous..
Thank you for your astoundingly wonderful energy John..! Enjoy the view from the other side!
    See you soon!
    ~

  3. Johnny is my younger brother. No one ever had a better younger brother. He never called me by my given name. Sometimes, he called me Geno. Other times he called me “Clyde.” I love picturing him in Heaven with little Andrea sitting on his lap. In later years, we didn’t get to visit personally much, but we did talk on the phone. I’m going to miss those little talks. I love you, Johnny!! Gene

  4. Aunt Nannie, Denise and I send our deepest condolences, we love you and have you in our prayers in this difficult season. II Corinthians 1:3-4 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. As I sit here reflecting back over the years, I’m reflecting back to about 1969 or 70, when you all moved to Bowling Green. I remember spending some time during the summer with you all. I remember Uncle Johnny had a 68 or 69 mustang fastback. We went cruising down the hwy with the top down, I think we went to get an ice cream. I’ll always cherish those time I got to spend with you all. I love you an I wish we could be there with you. Uncle Johnny will be greatly missed.

  5. A Hard working, kind and friendly man who loved people and taking care of people…Saddens my 💙
    R.I.P.

  6. He was always working at shoneys in Nashville tn. I went a few times with him and Johnny and worked at shoneys. It was fast paced work. I played golf with him and Johnny a couple times and he had a strong swing and could hit long drives. He nicknamed Johnny as Bud and Randy as Scooter. A dedicated family man . God bless Nanny, Johnny and Randy.

  7. Sorry to hear about Johnny grew up with John Larry Holman Tom Farris back in the day. God bless the family. No John will be missed rest in peace my old friend, your friend. TomReaves

  8. Warm smiles, stories to tell. Mr.John was a bright smile and a story of the past he could tell. On a long work day he was a sight for sore eyes and a kind heart to lift your spirits. Has been missed and will be missed may he rest in the beyond that guides him.
