Joe Burchett
November 4, 1978 ~ May 2, 2026
David Joe Burchett Jr, born on November 4, 1978, in Danville, Kentucky, left an incredible mark on the lives he touched across the world. This 47-year-old was the devoted son of David Joe Burchett Sr and the late Joyce Burchett. Though he is preceded in death by his mother Joyce A. Burchett, his spirit remains unbroken.
Joe enjoyed living life to the fullest, embracing every moment. With a heart of gold, he would go to great lengths for those he loved, spreading joy and laughter wherever he went. Whether spending time at a derby or lending a helping hand, Joe’s presence was a gift to all who knew him. As a proud lineman, he exemplified the truest meaning of dedication and hard work. A Friend. Above all, his family was his greatest treasure, and he demonstrated his love and devotion in countless selfless ways. From guiding his children through life’s lessons to being a constant source of support and encouragement, Joe was a son, devoted father, loving partner, and friend.
He is survived by his loving father, David J Burchett Sr (Margret) of Junction City, sisters, Wendy Egolf (Eddie) and Candi Taylor, his best friend and wife Charlotte Burchett, and their five beloved children who adored him: Lexy Hurst (Joey) of Danville, Kagen Jackson (Tyra) of Stanford, Ethan Burchett (Kylie) of Junction City, Destiny Burchett of Danville, and Jordan Belcher Isaacs (Luke) of Stanford. His legacy also lives on through his six precious grandchildren who held a special place in his heart: Koestyn Halcomb, Jansyn and Westyn Brown, Cooper Johnson, Raelee Jackson (aka his Natalie), and Sunnie Isaacs (aka his Arnold), a grandpup Ariat, along with a host of friends and Joe never met a stranger.
The family asks that you join them to celebrate a remarkable life at 1 p.m., Friday, May 8th at Junction City First Baptist Church with Rev. Jake Yaden officiating. Pallbearers will be Ethan Burchett, Kagen Jackson, Chad Sinkhorn, Vincent Gideon, Robert Minks, Ricky Lane, Gary Hogue, and Clyde Hammons. Honorary pallbearers will be all Lineman.

RIP Joe! Everytime I saw you, you was smiling! That smile would light up the world. Keep smiling. Prayers for Charlotte, Lexy, and all the family and close friends!
Loved Joe since the first time I met him in 7th grade at BCMS. Always smiling. Always. Our 1997 senior class clown at Boyle if I remember correctly. Was hoping to see him at the pond one of these Friday nights this summer. Special dude. Loving father, grandfather, and husband. Many prayers to all the family. Will miss you!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I did not know you or the circumstances surrounding your death. It’s a not my business.
It is my honor to pray for your family and all of those you left behind. May your loved ones feel peace and hold on to amazing memories together.
Rest in peace. God’s holding the people, that you left behind, forever in his Strong hands. I’m so sorry for the profound loss. ❤️🩹 Heather Rice
Wishing all family and love ones comfort and peace.
Joe was a great man to work with and as a fellow Lineman earned all my respect just by the way he treated everyone around him. Karen and I send our deepest condolences to you and your family. Please let me know if you need anything.
My heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time. Charlotte, the kids, grandkids, family and friends have been on my mind this week. I will continue to lift all of you in my prayers and that God will provide each of you with strength and comfort.
