James “Jim” Neal Lowe, 65, died Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was born in Harrodsburg on December 12, 1955 to the late Albert Sidney and Lillian Katherine Milburn Lowe. Jim served 20 years in the United States Navy before retiring. He worked and retired from Hitachi Automotive after his service in the Navy. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Margaret Louise Bunch. He is survived by his wife Karen Lowe of Danville; two sons, Christopher Ian (Kallie) Lowe of Versailles, Patrick Ryan Lowe of Lexington; a daughter, April Kathleen Lowe of Danville; two stepchildren, Marty (Kevin) Ford and Joshua (Ashley) Morgan; three sisters Gladys Carney of Springfield, Janice (Leon) Fenwick of Danville, Debra Ann Lowe of Danville; four grandchildren, Wells Patrick Lowe, Tanner Ford, Kara Guest and Addison Morgan. A private graveside service will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Tomlinson will officiate. Memorial donations are suggested to Danville-Boyle County Humane Society.   8. I wrote this on November 19, 2019: \”My neighbor Jim has a voice like bourbon. When he speaks I understand how Karen fell in love with him, and I wonder if he still sets her heart a-flutter. He cut down that little bush for me & told me not to park in the garage when it\’s expected to ice, said I\’ll never make it up the hill, but \”hill\” from his mouth had about 5 syllables and each one just as smooth as anything.\” I will miss hearing his voice float in through my open windows.
