Howard Wilson, Jr., 87, died on October 15, 2024.  He was born on December 8, 1936, in Helechawa, Kentucky, to the late Howard and Mary Patrick Wilson Sr.  Howard served in the United States Army as a paratrooper and later went to work for the US Postal Service as a mail carrier. He was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ where he was a deacon and Sunday School teacher.

Howard was preceded in death by brother Harold Dean Wilson and sister Opal Wilson Draper.

Howard is survived by his wife Mary Ann Lindon Wilson, son, Shane (Amy) Wilson, brother, Doug (Pam) Wilson, sister-in-law Olean Vance, grandsons, Benjamin Wilson and Michael Wilson, and extended family.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church. Rev. Colby Smith will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kevin Draper, Chris Lindon, Benjamin Wilson, Michael Wilson, Cory Bailey, Andy Davidson, Jim Hall, and Kevin Hileman. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug and Pam Wilson, Beverly Draper, Carla Hileman, and Sara Hall. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army and the American Legion: Saufley Post 18.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church – Soups on Us.
