Geraldine Sumner, 80, passed away at 8:03 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell hospital in Danville, Kentucky. She was born on January 12, 1940 in Vicco, Kentucky. Geraldine was loved by all who knew her, her family, and her caregivers. She brightened the world with her smile. \"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.\" Matthew 5:8. She is survived by her sister Sara Logan of Myrtle Beach, SC and many nieces and nephews who loved and adored her dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother Nancy Sumner and her father Harlan Sumner; her sisters Ora Salinas and Katherine Jordan; and her brothers William \"Bill\" Sumner and Harlan Sumner Jr. A special thank you to the caregivers and staff at Advocate Homes who loved her and were loved by her. Missed seeing you when yal moved back to Ky. You had a beautiful soul. I will miss your sweet smile and kissing my hand everytime I seen you. Love and kisses baby girl. Go rest high on that mountain, and be sure to tell my dad “your brother Bill” I love him and all our family that passed before you.
