August 13, 1956 ~ April 27, 2025

Gary Saliby passed away in Danville, Kentucky on April 27, 2025 at the age of 68. He was born on August 13, 1956, in Johnson City, New York to parents Michael and Margaret Saliby, who preceded him in death. Gary was the second of three children and spent his childhood in Binghampton, New York. He was an excellent student in school and played little league baseball. He also served his local church growing up as an altar boy.

Gary earned a Bachelors degree in accounting from the University of Binghampton when he graduated in 1978 and worked as an accountant for most of his adult life. He moved to Maryland in 1981 and married his wife Cindy in 1994.

Gary was a godly man who was known and loved for his warm personality and great sense of humor. He was gentle and compassionate family man who always put the needs of others before his own. He let his faith in God guide him through difficult times and helped others to do the same. He had a deep appreciation for music and a great singing voice, often doing karaoke in his younger years. He was also a big sports fan with baseball being his favorite and the Yankees his favorite team. Gary also got to be a youth baseball and basketball coach for several years, an experience that was very fulfilling for him.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy, children, Austin and Christina, son-in-law Chris, seven grandchildren, Dorian, Amareese, Maverik, Elysia, Jade, Teagan, and Felix, brother, Greg and his children, Henry, Caleb, and Cassie, his brother Michael and his wife Lori and their children, Christopher and Emily, cousin Lorrie and her daughter Erin, cousin Karina and her daughter Fallon, as well as a host of other extended family who loved him. Gary had a profound impact on those who knew him and will be dearly missed. His spirit now rests at home with God.
