Eva Coontz Propes, 78 of Junction City, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021. She was born on May 13,1943 in Hustonville, KY to the late George E. Coontz and Edna Young Coontz. Eva was a faithful and loving wife, strong hard-working women, Mother, Sister, Granny, and Aunt Eva to everyone else. Her passion in life was her family, Lord and savior Jesus Christ, cooking and helping anyone she could. She put everyone before herself and would give anything she could, even if it was only a prayer. She found great joy in the family gatherings where she could feed everyone that something special, and always had enough for anyone else that stopped by. She was truly loved by all and will be deeply missed by her family, church, friends, and community. Eva is preceded in death by her husband T.C. Propes Sr. and sons Edgar Wesley Propes and T.C. “Teke” Propes, Jr. She is survived by her Daughter Denita “Sissy” Propes (Steve) and her children, April and Anna. Daughter Edna “Bonnie” Propes Owens (Theron) and her children, Joshua and Jacob. Daughter Jennifer Propes White (John) and her children Raven, Aubrey, Cullen and Roxanne. Grandchildren Teke’s children, Eva DeeVon Stevens and Turner Cell “T.J.” Propes III. Great Grandchild Teller Kalijah Stevens. Sister-In-Law Aline Coontz and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 22, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Rev. Raymond Float and Rev. David Hendrickson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Cullen White, Turner Cell “T.J.” Propes III, Jacob Owens, Joshua Owens, Steve Johnson, Theron Owens, Will Daniel Hogue, Slade Burriss, Conner O’Brien and Honorary Pallbearer John White, Josh Coontz, Jody Coontz, Tony Turner, Steven Turner and Phillip Coontz. Visitation will be Monday, 21 June 5 p.m.- 7 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Please sign the online guestbook and send a Hugs from Home.
