Ellen Deets Ross

Ellen Melanie Ross, age 58, of Salem, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024. Born on March 25, 1966, in Danville, Kentucky, she was the cherished daughter of Freda Schafer and the late William “Bill” Mobley. She is also predeceased by her brother William Clifton Shafer.

Ellen had a deep love for animals, was known for her beautiful singing voice and her outstanding artistic talents. Despite facing challenges in her life, Ellen’s spirit remained strong, and her love for her children and family never wavered.

Ellen is survived by her loving mother, Freda Schafer, and her three children, Christopher (Audrey) Deets, Amanda (Angel Perez), and Brittany (Juan Carreno) Deets, her grandchildren Kyra Burnette, Connor Deets, Gunner Deets, Hailey Jones, Christian Perez, Angel Perez, Isaiah Perez, Gavin Deets, Alana Deets, and Isabella Deets, her sisters Nannette Williams and Caroline Boyd, who will always hold her memory close to their hearts.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City, Kentucky. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the same day. Following the funeral, the burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens in Danville, Kentucky.
