Denise Niklarz, 60, of Danville died April 25, 2026. Denise was born on January 24, 1966, in Queens Village, NY to Katherina Schabio O’Hare and the late Edward Peter O’Hare. In addition to her father, Denise was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Tucker.
Denise dedicated her professional life as a medical transcriptionist and devoted her heart to her family as a homemaker. Her kindness, warmth, and unyielding support shaped the lives of those around her as she always went out of her way for her family. She loved fishing at Lake Cumberland with Mike and her family, spending time with her Mom, and taking her grandkids to the creek behind the house.
Denise will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 38 years, Michael “Mike” Niklarz, her daughter, Kaitlyn Phillips, her son, Michael (Hope) Niklarz, her grandchildren, Hayden Niklarz, Hazley Niklarz, James Phillips, and Benjamin Willard. Denise is also survived by her brother, Kurt O’Hare.
Denise Niklarz’s light will forever shine in the hearts of those who loved her, guiding us as we navigate our days without her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
