David W. Lynch, 71, of Danville died on April 27, 2026. He was born on June 11, 1954 to Dan and Rheanna Stevens Lynch. David was married to his wife Gail for 20 years. In addition to his parents David was predeceased by his brothers Stephan and Joey Lynch.

David is survived by his wife Gail Lynch of Danville, two sons, Bryan (Amanda) Lynch of Tennessee and Zac (Angel) Lynch of Harrodsburg, a step-son Tim (Mary) Hackworth of Berea, brothers, Mike (Sylvia) Lynch and Hugh Lynch both of Danville, and a sister-in-law, Pam Hisle of Richmond. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his sons, Cathy Lynch, and Sharon Geiger-Kossa who was like a sister, five grandchildren, Sydney, Rylee, Arizona, Nash, and Teigan Lynch, two step-grandchildren, Hannah and Billy Bunch, several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Danny Stanley and Jerry Swift.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home in Danville.
Father Danny Schwendeman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Alex, Derek, and Michael Lynch, Tim Hackworth, Jerry Swift, and Billy Bunch. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home in Danville.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Heritage Hospice nurses, Melinda, Karon, Andre, and Desiree, aides, Sue and Tabitha, and social worker, Carla. “Thank you. You all were absolutely wonderful.”
