I was blessed to work with Darrell for several years at Whirlpool / Matsushita in Danville. As a fellow Vietnam Veteran, we bonded almost instantly as co-workers and as close friends. My brother Ronnie Tharp was one of the regulars who met faithfully with Darrell and others every Sunday Morning for breakfast. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loving family. His physical presence may be gone, but the vivid memories of his laughter and his love for living life large will remain in the heads and hearts of so many who knew him. That will be part of the legacy that Darrell Preston leaves behind. May He Rest In Peace.
Our sincere condolences to Darrell\’s family. We only knew him to talk to him at church, but he was always friendly. We pray for God\’s comfort and peace for Sue and the rest of Darrell\’s family.

I was not privileged enough to meet Mr. Preston in person, but I am so very lucky to have his cherished granddaughter Courtney as a co-worker and dear friend. It is so very evident how incredible of a person Mr. Preston was in just how far his presence has reached. I wish so badly I was able to come down and enjoy one of his legendary fish fries, and got a change to sit and listen to him tell stories, or even throw out a line. My prayers and deepest condolences for his family, whom it was no secret he absolutely adored. Much love and light during this difficult, and confusing time.
Our thoughts and prayers to Darrell’s family. Darrell was a BCHS classmate and teammate. I remember we used to call him Gomer (for Gomer Pyle). I remember him as always smiling and having a good word to say. He will be missed at ballgames and reunions. He was a good man and friend.
You are in our prayers

Our son Cabe rode Bus 103 every morning and every afternoon with Mr. Darrell for many years. Every morning, he looked forward to going to school and riding on Mr. Darrell\’s bus. Mr. Darrell and Bus 103 will be forever in our hearts .Post graduation, Cabe would continue to look for Bus 103 and there were times our paths would cross and Cabe\’s eyes would light up when Mr. Darrell smiled at him… He made such a difference in this World and our hearts goes out to Sue and her Family. Much love, Helen, Cabe, and David Overstreet

Prayers for the family
Oh how we will miss our dear friend and coworker, Darrell. He was a wonderful man, friendly and always had the smile. Tommy played softball with him back in their younger days. Pulled his mower out of the pond when he worked at millennium park(he somehow ended up in the pond several times) said he finally figured out it was the rut that threw his mower that way. These are some of the good and funny times with Darrell. He used to pull in the drive way and talk to Tommy for an hour or so and had the Wanda\’s breakfast on Saturdays. We will miss those times, but will always remember them . Our thoughts and prayers are with Susie, Keith and Stacey. May you rest in peace.
Prayers for the family!

Thanks for your exciting article. One other problem is that mesothelioma cancer is generally caused by the inhalation of materials from asbestos fiber, which is a carcinogenic material. It truly is commonly observed among staff in the structure industry with long experience of asbestos. It can be caused by residing in asbestos covered buildings for long periods of time, Inherited genes plays an important role, and some persons are more vulnerable for the risk compared to others.
