Dale Roger Frondal, 86, died January 9, 2021 in Danville. Born March 23, 1934 in Oakland, Minnesota, he was the son of the late Henry S. and Esther Christiansen Frondal. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Dale is a graduate of University of Minnesota and is a United States Marine Corps Veteran. Dale worked as a Draftsman and Engineer at Whirlpool, later Matsushita. He is predeceased by his infant son; one brother, Duane Frondal and his sister Beverly Korn. He is survived by his wife Lois Carol Smeby Frondal; two sons, Gregg (Dana Lister) Frondal and Scott (Kaari Olson) Frondal; five grandchildren, Christopher Dale Frondal, Shelby Jean Frondal, Kayla Ellison, Jenna Kothenbeutel, and Richard “Ricky” Kothenbeutel; three great grandchildren, Scarlett, RaeLynn and Nova Jade; and four siblings, Richard Christiansen, William (Sherrie) Frondal, Charles (Ann) Frondal and Jeanette (Richard) Aarback.   1. Our father always kept busy with projects that most people would hire a crew to complete. He designed and built garages and an addition onto our home with little to no help. No matter how long it took. He completed it right down to the smallest detail. His crowning achievement in life was his Pulsar home built airplane kit that started as several shipping crates. It took over 10 years of evenings and weekends to complete, until the day he gathered speed down runway 12 at Danville/Boyle County airport and took to the skies with his beautiful new aircraft. He was a basketball couch for elementary kids and served as a Cub Scout leader and Sunday School teacher. He also sang in the church choir. Dale loved his grandchildren.

  5. Dear Lois, Scott , Gregg and families, Dale will be greatly missed by me. I don\’t recall a time in my lift when he was not there as Lois brought him into our family when I was about 4 years old. One of my first memories is that he would swing me around as a little girl which was great fun! I remember I got an etch a sketch for Christmas one year and Dale was fascinated by it and spent hours playing with it. I was never as good at making pictures on it as he was. May our memories warm our hearts now that he is at eternal rest. Love Kim
