Carlene Ann Preston Cooper, 72, died on October 18, 2024. Carlene was born in Danville on August 20, 1952, to the late Carl and Myrtle Preston. She was a voracious reader, especially family dramas that have happy endings. She loved her flower garden and travelling to Gatlinburg. Her home was always open to kids that needed something to eat or a place to stay. She was a selfless woman who tried to provide an atmosphere in which others could find joy and comfort. In addition to her parents Carlene was predeceased by her brother Floyd Preston.
Carlene is survived by her daughter Dana Cooper, son, Justin Cooper, grandchildren, Benjamin Lindsay, Hennessey Ison, Tristen Difrancesco, Caydance Cooper, and Cole Cooper, and her companion, Archie Curtis.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Ken Ward and Raymond Float will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm prior to the service. An online guestbook is available at www.stithcares.com
