Bobby Catlett, 81, died on October 21, 2025, at home with his family after a short illness. Born on January 5, 1944, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, to the late Ralph Davis and Maudie Katherine Adkinson Catlett. Bobby was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and uncle, known for his warmth, humor, and love of life.

Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Catlett, sisters Peggy Ann Harmon, and twin sister Bonnie M Dunsmore.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elsie Lucas Catlett, who shared countless cherished moments with him throughout their journey together. He is also survived by his step-children, Stewart (Ann) King and Rodney (Balerie) King, his grandchildren, Ashley King, Bryan (Laura) King, Jessica (Clayton) Davis, Taylor (Gage) Camic, his niece, Kathy Carmen, great niece Bobbie Jo (Gabe) Owens, and several other nieces and nephews. Each of these family member held a special place in Bobby’s heart, and they will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

The visitation will be 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City, with Rev. Choe Sargent officiating. Pallbearers will be Gage Camic, Bryan Carman, Clayton Davis, Bryan King, Brad Luttrell, and Gabe Owens. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

Bobby was a bright light in the lives of those who knew him, and he will be dearly missed. We invite you to join us in remembering him with love and laughter, just as he would have wanted.

  12. Worked with Bobby at Philip’s for many years. He was best supervisor by far. Always respectful, fair and friendly. He always loved it when we had chili dog nite and we invited him to eat with us. He always ask me for the recipe for the sauce, said he wanted Elsie to fix it at home! Lol!! 😄 can’t remember if he ever got it or not😥 used to see Bobby often in Walmart but hadn’t in sometime now. Too bad 😔 thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Elsie. He always spoke very kind and loving of you! 🥰 Hope to see you up there in Glory Land Bobby maybe we be eaten chili dogs again! Thought you mite like that! Always one for a good laugh! 😄 RIP 🙏

  14. Aunt Elsie, I don’t have the words to express to you how much I loved Uncle Bobby and will miss him, his texts and our conversations his endearment as long as I can remember, Baby Girl. He was my advisor, my cheer leader, confidant, Uncle and friend. He will be remembered, loved and cherished as long as I have a heartbeat. I pray he is with our Lord and Savior and is having a reunion with our family that has gone before us. That I too will rejoice with him again one day as will you.
    Elsie, Uncle Bobby spoke of how much he loved you and was grateful for you and your loving care. I am so glad he had you and you took such good care of him over the years. May I share a memory with you that I hope makes you laugh. Uncle Bobby and I took a walk/hike through the “meadow” more like brambles looking for marijuana plants, he was afraid someone was growing it on his “farm”. We did not find any, only chiggers. That same day, you and I went to the barn, and you started up the tractor and drove it down to the “holler” where “the boys” got the jeep stuck on a tree. What a fun day and great memory, now a treasure. Hold yourself real tight, that is a hug from me to you and Uncle Bobby too. Love always, Debbie
