Billy Lynn Hargis Sr., 70, died March 8, 2020 in Danville. Born March 7, 1950 in Somerset to the late Ralph Lee and Wilma Eleanor Inabnitt Hargis. Billy was a 1968 graduate of Danville High School and a member of First Baptist Church. Billy served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After the Army, he went to work for ATR in operations. He was also the groundskeeper for Boyle County Schools and rode a bus as a monitor with some of the children. He enjoyed being at the ballpark, loved his grandchildren and looked forward to watching them play sports. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife Paulette Chambers Wilson Hargis. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Wilson (Jason) Bird of Stanford; three sons, Billy L. Hargis, Jr. of Danville, Todd (Jill) Hargis of Georgetown and Jeremy L. Wilson of Winchester; ten grandchildren, Jackson Hargis, Ella Hargis, Caid Hargis, Izabella Walker, Jordan (Devin) Burchfield, Taylor Bird, Micah Bird, Joey Bird, Ace Wilson and Lynni Bird; and two sisters, Patricia Hargis (Stewart) Cocanougher of Danville and Karen Hargis Milburn (Joel) Rice of Stanford An immediate family only graveside service will be held. Due to the current pandemic a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations are suggested to Alzheimer’s Foundation and Heritage Hospice.   4. I was 18 and just a kid when I started at ATR,Bill or we called him Big \”O\”,taught me a lot and was a great man.God Bless you all and he will greatly missed but in a better place.

  5. Our deepest condolences for Billy\’s family. We love Billy. He dropped by a few weeks ago for a nice visit. So surprised and saddened to hear he has died. We will miss our talks with him. We will offer a Chaplet of Divine Mercy for him. May God Bless his family with Peace and Grace.
