Arthur Mesman

May 23, 1942 ~ August 14, 2025
Arthur Marinus Mesman, 83, of Junction City, Kentucky, passed away on August 14, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, on May 23, 1942, to the late John and Louise Mesman. At the age of 8, his family left Indonesia and set sail for the Netherlands. In 1960, at the age of 18, they would take to the seas one last time to make the journey to the United States and call it home. They settled in Cincinnati, Ohio, where Arthur would meet the love of his life, Henrietta Crawford. They were married in 1967.
Arthur was a designing engineer at Seller’s Engineering for 32 years. He was a devout Christian and spent half his life devoted to missions and church fundraising with his wife and son throughout Kentucky. He was a member of the Danville Church of Christ, where he found comfort and fellowship in his final years.
He took great joy in working in his yard, planting, and gardening, nurturing his love for nature. He enjoyed watching soccer, cycling, and sailing with his son and grandchildren. He had a great love of the ocean, whether it be sitting on the beach or sailing on the water. Above all else, he treasured his family and his faith and exemplified the values of community and faith throughout his life.
Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and his sister Carla. He is survived by his beloved son, Michael Arthur (CarolAnn) Mesman, his granddaughters Scarlett Raven Mesman and Sarah Morgan Mesman, his siblings Edward, Ineke, Gerard, and Paul, along with several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to https://www.tmcfunding.com/funds/arthur-mesman-final-expense-fund/14140/ in honor of Arthur’s commitment to his faith and community.
Arthur will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
