William Paul Goodin

William Paul Goodin, age 86, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024. Born on March 18, 1938, to the late William and Virginia Goodin. Paul was a cherished father, grandfather, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched many lives. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by a daughter, Betty Ann Goodin, two brothers, three sisters, and a special nephew, Enic Wesley “Buddy” Anderson.

A devoted employee of Genesco, Paul dedicated his career to his work, exemplifying a strong work ethic and loyalty. Outside of his professional life, he found great joy in nature, often spending his time camping and fishing, where he cherished the tranquility and beauty of the outdoors. Paul was also an avid fan of racing and loved watching the races at Ponderosa Speedway.

Faith was an integral part of Paul’s life. He was a good churchgoer who began each day with prayer and by reading the Bible, drawing strength and guidance from his faith.

Paul is survived by his wife of 61 years, Clara, daughter, Michelle (Steve) Oakes, grandchild, Devin Oakes, special niece, Debbie (Rick) Westerfield, brothers, Wade (Margaret) Goodin, Lonnie (Becky) Goodin, and Robert (Karol) Goodin, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City.  Pastor Bryan Montgomery will officiate. The burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 pm to 7 pm on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City.
