Wanda Harlan Tarrance, 72, died Monday, September 21, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional. She was born in Danville on February 17, 1948 to the late George Lee and Margaret Louise Young Harlan. Wanda was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church 2nd & Walnut Street. She was a 1966 graduate from Danville High School and went on to obtain a degree in Cosmetology from Paducah College in 1967. Wanda loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. In her spare time, you could find her at the bingo hall or at a yard sale. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, and dancing. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a daughter, Marcie Hill; a grandson, Shea Ford; a brother, Richard Lewis, a niece, Jerri Jones and brother-in-law Jerry Tarrance.. She is survived by her husband, of 43 years, Guye “Heavy” Tarrance; two sons, Chris Harlan of Danville, Darryl Tarrance (Beth) of Dayton, Ohio; a daughter, Tika Tarrance of Danville; two sisters, Pat Harlan Pigg (Johnnie), Katherine Marie Butts; eighteen grandchildren, Jamar Harlan, Courtney Hill, Tiffany Harlan, Whitney Ford, Amber Hall, Bryanna Harlan, Cayson Harlan, Skyler Barnett, Christopher Harlan, Jr., Zalin Lear, Reese Watson, Marvin McCoomer, DeShanna Tarrance, Darica Tarrance, Tayton Tarrance, Markus Tarrance and eleven great grandchildren, Channing, Kyler, Camedon, Annlee, Tashawn, Layla, Khyra, Ryan, Chase, Zaylah and Kylie and a son-in-law, David Hill, brother and sister-in-law Vernelle & Glenda Tarrance Trotwood of Ohio, sister-in-law Judy Tarrance of Louisville, and mother-in-law Amanda Tarrance of Dayton, Ohio. The memorial service will be 1pm, Saturday, October 3, 2020 at The Showroom in Danville, Kentucky. Rev. Ronald McCowan will officiate. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery.
