Wanda Jean Hunt

Wanda Jean Hunt, 61, died Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born in Georgetown, Kentucky on October 3, 1959 to the late Edgar and Lucille Woolums Shearer. Wanda obtained her CNA certification in Magoffin County and worked for Salyersville Nursing Home. She loved her family and adored her dog “Minute Lee”, taking him everywhere she went. Wanda enjoyed writing poetry and won awards for her writings. She was outgoing, happy, and loved taking care of others, often putting others before herself. Wanda was the best friend anybody could have. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a son, Craig Anthony Hunt and a sister, Brenda Fletcher. She is survived by her son, Kevin Hunt (Barbara) of Stanford and a special friend, Jeff Minix of Stanford. There will be a private graveside service in Bellevue Cemetery.
