Wanda Carol Christison, 77, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017. She was born April 3, 1939 to the late Jess Daughtery and Artie Wilson in Perryville, KY. She retired from the State Hospital, and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Wanda loved reading, camping, and UK basketball. She also loved being a homemaker after retirement. Wanda is predeceased by her husband, Gary Christison, and two sisters, Geraldine Simpson, and Odelia Bailey.
She is survived by two sons, Scot (Connie) Tankersley of Stanford, KY, Barry Tankersley of Brandenburg, KY, one step-son, Gary J. Christison, one step-daughter, Rita Cornett, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and four step grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville, KY. With burial at Danville Memorial Gardens. Officiated by Rev. David Comrades, pallbearers will be Steve Bailey, Todd Kirkpatrick, Bruce Edgington, Barry Tankersley, Matt Tankersley, and Scot Tankersley. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Monday at Stith Funeral Home
