Wanda Boyd

Wanda Faye Boyd of Danville, KY, died on June 23, 2024, at 74. She was born in Kentucky on August 4, 1949, to the late Luther Hayes Shearer and Leona Lee Cook. Wanda was also preceded in death by her loving husband Lloyd Daniel Boyd.

Wanda dedicated her career to healthcare as a Dietitian, working tirelessly at Charleston Health Care. She had a passion for cooking, gardening, and flowers, always finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Wanda was known for her love of coffee and adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Wanda was a beloved mother to Sandy Naylor and Dan (Stephanie) Boyd, a cherished grandmother to Jerry Naylor, Sierra Boyd, Robert Daniel Boyd, and Elizabeth Boyd, a great-grandmother to Victoria Devine, Winchester Sparkman, Elijah Devine, Delaney Devine, Jackson Daniel Boyd, and Braxton Higginbotham, she is also survived by her siblings Mary Graham, and Gerald (Vanessa) Shearer, along with nieces and nephews Lisa Smith, Linda Clegg, and Anthony Shearer.

Funeral services and ceremonies to honor Wanda’s life will be forthcoming. May she rest in peace, her spirit forever alive in the hearts of those she touched.
