Viola Smith

Viola Marie Elliott Smith, 84, died June 17, 2021, in Danville. Born September 2, 1936, in Liberty, she was the daughter of Finley and Linda Elliott. Viola worked as a housekeeper at Lexington Country Place for over 20 years. Viola loved her family get togethers. She is predeceased by her husband, Ervin Junior Smith; two daughters Kimberly Parker and Hope Houp; and a sister Faye Miller. Viola is survived by a daughter Regina (Brian) Himes of Winchester; three sons James Smith of Lancaster, Steve (Joanna) Smith of Winchester and Carroll (Jennifer) Elliott of Liberty; a sister Fernie Sims; four brothers David (Joanna) Elliott, Larry (Doug) Elliott, Tim (Judy) Elliott and Junior (Dorothy) Elliott; seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 12 pm to 2pm, Friday June 25, 2021, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Graveside service will be at 3 pm at Salyers Cemetery.
