Vicki Tackett

Vicki Sue Tackett, 75, passed away on September 28, 2026, in Georgetown, Ky. Born June 19, 1951, in Hamilton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Jean Barrett Youngman and step-daughter of Henry Youngman.

Vicki graduated from Danville High School, went on to nursing school, and earned degrees from Eastern Kentucky University, Lexington Community College, and Emory University, where she earned her nurse practitioner degree. She spent most of her adult life as a nurse and then a nurse practitioner, working for the Mercer County Health Department and later for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, specializing in women’s health. After retiring, she moved from Lancaster to Georgetown, Ky., to be closer to her son and his family. Vicki lived to help people. Caring for others was not only her profession but who she was.

She was a devoted wife to Ricky, an awesome mother to Scott and Todd and a loving Nana to her only grandson Zach. She loved her family unconditionally and was deeply loved by her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her “Hey girl!” and her quick smile for family, friends and strangers alike.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Tackett, and two sons, Todd Tackett and Ricky Tackett II. She is survived by a son, Scott; daughter-in-law, Robbie; grandson, Zachary; a brother, Jim Neal (Jackie); and two sisters, Donna Goodpastor (Ron) and Cindy Parker (Bruce).

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home in Danville, KY. at Stith Funeral Home in Danville, immediately followed by funeral services and burial with Harry Hebert officiating.
