Vernon Lee Johnson

Vernon Johnson, 66, died on August 29, 2023, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born to the late Harold and Mabel Snow Johnson on December 23, 1956.
Vernon did electrical work for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for many years. He also served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed NASCAR, and motorcycle riding with friends.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Barbara Johnson; daughter, Kimberly (Chip) Pearce, brothers; Charles (Gail) Johnson, L.C. (Barbara) Johnson, Roger (Marla) Johnson and Roger (Connie) Lopez; grandchildren, Caden (Desiree) Pearce and Lauren Pearce; and great-grandchild, Harper Pearce.
He is predeceased by his parents and brother, Larry (Harlene) Johnson.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 1, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Ron Farris will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jodi Benge, JR Smith, Brad Chester, Mike Douglas, Troy Belcher Larry Wright, Tony Lanigan, and Otis Hafley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Conatser, Wayne VanWinkle, Jeff Price, Donnie Conatser Jr., and Paul Bowman.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Caswell Saufley Post #18, Patriot Guard, and AMVETS Post 123.
