Val PS Williams, age 57, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, surrounded by the people who loved her most. Her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her legacy of love, creativity, and warmth will live on.
Born on March 14, 1968 in the Village of Hortokopi, Kavala, Greece, Val lived a full and vibrant life, marked by curiosity, compassion, and an adventurous spirit. She had a passion for learning and exploring the world around her, and she brought joy to others through her love of traveling, writing, gardening, cooking, and baking. Whether hosting a meal or capturing a fleeting moment through her lens, Val shared her gifts freely and fully.
A talented writer and photographer, Val had an eye for beauty in the everyday. She found stories in quiet corners and inspiration in the lives of those she held dear. Her words and images offered comfort, reflection, and connection to so many.
Val is survived by her loving and devoted husband, William Reid Williams, who stood by her side with unwavering support and commitment. She is also survived by her cherished siblings, Stella Kokkini and Konstantinos Proskinkitopoulos, and by a large and loving extended family including many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She also leaves behind a wide circle of close friends, all of whom were deeply touched by her warmth, humor, and love for life.
She is now reunited in eternal peace with her beloved siblings, Kyriaki Tsilfidis and Panagiota Proskinitopoulos, as well as her dear parents, Yiorgos and Konstantina Proskinitopoulos, whose love shaped the foundation of her life. We take comfort in knowing that they are together again.
Val lived with an open heart and a generous soul. Though her time on earth was short, the impact she made on the lives of others was immeasurable. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Val’s memory by spending time with your loved ones, sharing a good meal, or capturing a moment in writing or a photograph—just as she would have.
A funeral service to celebrate Val’s life will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 11 AM at Trinity Episcopal Church, located at 320 West Main Street, Danville, KY 40422.
