Timothy \"Tim\" Heppner

June 9, 1961 ~ January 4, 2024
Timothy “Tim” O’Neill Joshua Heppner, 62 years old, died Thursday, January 4, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born June 9, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois to Donald Richard and Robin R. Heppner. He grew up in a rollicking household with eight brothers and sisters on Chicago\'s south side. Tim had a relentlessly wandering mind, tempered with an engineer’s eye, and was equally at home working out plans for green technology as he was framing a house. As a free spirit, Tim traveled extensively and enjoyed gaming and spending time with the many members of his extended family. He intermixed his myriad of interests with athletic competitions ranging from running a 5k to completing five Ironman Triathlons. He was a true pioneer in urban sustainable home construction and was motivated to seek creative and actionable solutions to challenging climates. This propelled Tim to build the greenest home in Chicago.
After this accomplishment, Tim settled down in Danville, KY, with his wife, Norma. Tim was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Robin Heppner and his brother Peter.
He is survived by his wife Norma, his two stepchildren Jaime and Raquel, his siblings Candace (Steven), Julie, Matthew (Erin Marie), Charles (Elissa), Christopher (Diana), David (Lynette) and Erin (Bruce), as well as many nieces, nephews, and their children.
