Thomas Clyde Bromley, 85, of Danville, KY, formerly of New Castle, PA, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, April 26, 2024.   He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.  He struggled with Alzheimer’s for many years.

Tom aka ‘Willis’ was born in New Castle, PA on August 11, 1938.  Growing up in Western Pennsylvania, Tom was an avid Steelers fan.  Go Steelers! After attending New Castle High School, Tom continued his education at Youngstown St. University where he finished with an accounting degree.  On April 5, 1963, Tom married Nancy Lynn Bromley and just celebrated their 61st anniversary.  As they started their lives together, Tom became a member of the Army Reserves. Tom was the definition of a great guy – kind, gentle, and would do anything to help someone.

After starting their family with three kids, Tom moved his family to Danville, KY in 1974.  Tom made the move for a fresh start with Rexnord Conveyor as an accountant where his provided 25 years of dedicated service.  Although dedicated to his job, Tom was even more dedicated to his family.  He provided guidance, support, and love for all the family.  He provided many memories of his involvement in all the kid’s activities.  Tom enjoyed the game of basketball, and nobody could stop the mini sky hook on the basketball court until we got tall enough to swat it away.  He enjoyed golfing, walking his dogs, and being a card shark.  He was a great family man and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Tom was a member of Indian Hills Christian Church in Danville, KY.  He loved the lord and attended church regularly.  He provided his time as needed with the church and other volunteer activities.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents John Thomas Bromley and Dorothy Mae Bromley.  He is survived by his wife Nancy Bromley, children Jeff (Lori) Bromley of Brentwood, TN, Todd (Sara) Bromley of Danville, KY, and Greg (Jennifer) Bromley of Louisville, KY and grandchildren Elizabeth and Parker Bromley, his brothers Arlo (Esther) Bromley, Don (Barb) Bromley, and Mary Lou (Jerry) Garver, and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held from 4 – 7 pm, Tuesday, May 7th  in the Fellowship Hall at Indian Hills Christian Church (1200 Lexington Road Danville, KY), with a brief memorial at 5 pm with Rev. Lance Ladd.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
