Tamara Lin Cox Bennett, 50, of Seattle, Washington died February 27, 2020 in Seattle after a 3-year battle with breast cancer. Born September 9, 1969 in Louisville, Kentucky.
She was the daughter of Dr. M Douglas and Daphine Cox. She graduated from Hart County High School, Centre College, and University of South Carolina (MBA Program).
Tamara’s zest for living, her independent spirit, her connectedness with others, her tenacious strength and infectious smile leave a legacy.
Tamara is survived by her husband, Andrew Bennett and two children, Allison Bennett (13), and Zachary Bennett (11). She is also survived by her parents, Dr. M Douglas and Daphine Cox of Danville, KY; two sisters, Tracey Gaslin (Todd), Teryl Snow (David); one brother, Travis Cox (Julie), an aunt, Wanda Hines, and nieces and nephews.
A private funeral and burial will be held. A life celebration will take place in Seattle at a later date. Memorial donations are suggested to Fred Hutch Cancer Center of Seattle and Autism Speaks.

My heart truly aches. I well remember the day she was born. What a sweet, sweet spirit. The world is a better place because she was in it.
