Shawnda Buford

Shawnda Renee Buford, 46, of Lancaster, died Monday, February 13, 2023.  Born May 27, 1976, she was the daughter of George (Lisa) Beasley and Ida Buford.  She worked as a CNA. She loved to be in the backyard with “my Daddy” and with her kids, listening to music, getting her nails done or taking off for any adventure.  She is preceded in death by a daughter, Jamira Beasley; paternal grandmother, Margaret Beasley; and maternal grandmother, Stella Buford. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Jalen Beasley; daughter, Takyia Beasley; sisters, Renata Davis, Christy Buford, Nesie Buford and Nikki Buford; brothers, Corey (Theresa) Beasley and Manual Reardon; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, February 20, 2023, with visitation from noon – 2 p.m., prior to the service, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Pastor Jimmy McPherson will officiate.  Honorary pallbearers will be Sheldon Burnside, Willie Clark, Ray Clark, Damon Norris, Scotty Burnside, Elvis Buford, Jamele “Shawn” Burnside, Rob Boatley and Tim Lucas.  The online guestbook is available at www.stithcares.com.
