She had Bonus children, her beloved chihuahua, Bonus grandchildren and even a Bonus great grandbaby as well that she loved with her whole heart. She was a wonderful second Mother to me and I’ll miss her always. I’m just happy that she is at peace and not in pain anymore she was so strong to the very end. 🩷

Shawna Renae Lamar, 62, died on July 30, 2024, in Danville, KY. Shawna was born on December 22, 1961, in Martinez, CA, to the late Gayla and Lonnie Newell.
Shawna is survived by her significant other Terry Gregory, her two sons, Michael Hargitt and Matthew Hargitt, and her grandchildren Lynden Hargitt, Lily Hargitt, and Parker Hargitt, whom she adored beyond words. She took pride in her work, notably contributing to the Appalachia project helping the people of Eastern Kentucky
Shawna will be remembered for her kind heart and her dedication to her loved ones.
May her legacy serve as a beacon of light for those who knew and cherished her. Rest in peace, Shawna Renae Lamar.

Missing you so very much, more than words can express! You were so strong, so brave and you loved so deeply and completely all of us in your family (and extended family). Life was way harder for you than it ever should have been, but you were always positive and hopeful for a better tomorrow.
