Shaneene Karilyn Donovan, 38, died Saturday, October 2, 2021 due to complications of the Covid-19 virus. Kari was born in Somerset to Rhonda Keeney and the late John Michael Donovan. She was a graduate of Danville High School and employee of Cliffview Recovery Center. Kari was a Cheerleader at Lincoln County Middle School and Danville High School. She loved spending time with her children. Kari enjoyed UK Basketball, watching crime shows, arts and crafts, collecting Boyd’s Bears and listening to music. In addition to her father, she is predeceased by her grandparents, Carol and Betty Keeney, John and Mary Donovan; and Zackary’s grandfather, David Jones.
She is survived by her mother, Rhonda Keeney of Danville; three sons, Zackary Jones and his father Darrell Jones and grandmother Brenda Jones of Danville, Micah Brentley Scott Miller Lyons, Garrett Chance Donovan Lyons both of Harrodsburg; brother, John Tyler Donovan of Florida; two sisters, Erica Suzanne Harris (James) of Danville, Shyla Donovan of Lexington; aunt, Kathi Ledford (Eddy) of Winchester; nephew, Levi Elmore and niece, Taylor Smitha.
The funeral service will be 11am. Friday, October 8, 2021 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. Choe Sargent and Rev. Brandon Wilson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Nathan Hasty, Levi Benedict, Levi Elmore, Darrell Jones, Justin Harris and Jon Harris. Honorary pallbearer will be Zackary Jones. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm – 8pm, Thursday, October 7, 2021 and 10am – 11am, Friday, prior to the service at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Memorial donations are suggested to Cliffview Recovery Center, 789 Bryant’s Camp Road, Lancaster, KY 40444 or any local Rehab Center of your choice. Such a beautiful soul gone way too soon. You fought through hell and back more than once to come out on top just to have something like Covid take you out. I pray for all the family especially Rhonda Zack, Garrett and Chance. Rest easy sweet girl until we meet again.
