Sara Katherine Grider

Sara Katherine Grider, 71, died on November 9, 2024.  She was born in Lexington on June 17, 1953, to the late Ralph and Evelyn Brinegar.  “Kat” was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She loved watching movies, particularly John Wayne movies.  Sara was an artist who enjoyed painting and crocheting.  She also helped her late husband with his woodworking projects.  Sara was a member of Alum Springs First Church of God.  In addition to her parents Sara was predeceased by her husband Arnold Lee Grider, Sr.

Sara is survived by her daughters, Dara (James) Ball, Rebecca (William) Webb, and Sharon Grider, a son, Arnold Lee (Lynnette) Grider, Jr., grandchildren, Elizabeth, William, Jessica, Gabriel, Hannah, Travis, Cheyanne, Dalton, Anthony, Allyssa, Jamison, Alexa, and Samuel, and six great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local food pantry or a Blessings Box.  An online guestbook is available at www.stithcares.com.
