Ruth Ellen Luttrell, 76, died on January 11, 2024. She was born in Danville on April 23, 1947, to the late Howard and Mary Ellen Hogue.

Ruth worked at Britt\’s Department Store, Rainbow Cleaners, and was part owner of Dustbusters Cleaning Service .

She was an avid collector of Longaberger Baskets, Fenton Glass, and toys. Ruth loved her flowers and never missed an episode of Days of Our Lives. She had high standards and integrity. Ruth had many friends and spent a lot of time not only talking with them but most importantly, listening to them. Her main focus was her family. She never missed a game or school event if one of her children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren were involved. In addition to her parents, Ruth is predeceased by her sister, Roberta Hogue, and a grandson, Jordan Eskridge.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Karl Luttrell; three sons, Todd (Lori) Wilson, Mark (Patricia) Wilson, and Chad (LeAnn) Wilson; grandchildren, Cruise Wilson, Clay Wilson, and Kendra Keene; great-grandchildren, Zoey Wilson, Dakota Lake, Ella Wilson, and Taelor Lake, brother, Freddie Hogue, and numerous nieces including Melissa Seay and Debbie Weaver, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral service will be at 1 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. JR Fields and Pastor Micki McHugh will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cruise Wilson, Clay Wilson, Jeffrey Hogue, Larry Underwood, Barry Underwood, and Shawn Underwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Wilson, Mark Wilson, Chad Wilson, Chris Hogue, Jackie Underwood, Dakota Lake, Taelor Lake, Joe and Paula Gibson, Lana Weddle, and Henry Clarkson. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Commonwealth Cancer Center. The online guestbook is available at www.stithcares.com.
