Ruby Golden Lanham Wilson died on November 28, 2025, at the age of 93. Ruby was born on January 19, 1932, in Gravel Switch, Kentucky to the late Charlie & Mattie Lanham. A cherished resident of Danville, Kentucky, she dedicated her life to her family, friends, and her faith as a long-standing member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice E. Wilson, and her siblings, Samuel Gobel Lanham, Charles Melvin Lanham, James Ervin Lanham, Mabel Ruth Grugin, Clara Maude Milburn, Gladys Wesley, and Margaret Lucille Bandy.

Golden will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith, which touched the hearts of many throughout her life. What she most enjoyed in life was gardening, cooking, birdwatching but most of all she loved her time spent with her grandchildren & great grandchildren who called  her “Ma-Ma-Ma”.  She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Golden is survived by her sons, Alan (Patty) Wilson, Greg (Karen) Wilson, and Brent (Darcy) Wilson, her grandchildren; Robbie (Sarah) Wilson, Chris (Misty) Wilson, Evan (Rhiannon Montgomery) Wilson, Madeleine, Nena, Eloise; and her great-grandchildren; Baker Wilson, Meg Wilson, Mitchell Wilson, Brigid Wilson, George Wilson, Boone Wilson, Reese Wilson and Keene Wilson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on December 15, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. The visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Robbie Wilson, Chris Wilson, Evan Wilson, Mitch Wilson, Boone Wilson, George Wilson, and Keene Wilson.  Golden will be laid to rest in a burial ceremony at Bellevue Cemetery, Danville, Kentucky, with her husband.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Ruby Golden Wilson will be deeply missed but will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones and all those whose lives she touched.

  6. Prayers for the family. I have known Golden since school days at Perryville. Then we worked together many years at the doctors office. She was a lot of fun to work with and be with.

  7. I remember her when I was a child st First Baptist Church. she also was Gladys Wesley sister who we fondley knew as Mama Hap. absolutely beautiful family and will never forget her kindness to me as a child. That was 60 years ago. Such a lovely lady.
